The phrase ‘modern web development’ is one that I have clung to during years writing copy for Packt books. But what does it really mean? I know it means something because it sounds right – but there’s still a part of me that feels that it’s a bit vague and empty.

There are many things to consider when setting up a website, and accessibility is one factor that can sometimes be overlooked. An accessible website is one that’s optimized for all people, including those with impaired vision or hearing, motor difficulties etc.

You don’t have to be rich to have an online presence. You don’t have to find loopholes in proprietary platforms and hope that they never change their terms of service.
